Wilton, CT Colonial

This stately Georgian-style colonial was built with gracious-sized rooms, high ceilings, moldings, tray ceilings and wainscoting - all befitting the period, 

The foyer is a room unto itself and sets the mood for the rest of the house - 

The dining room has a custom-made mahogany table with satinwood cross-banding and a custom area rug which I designed and was executed by Stark.

Roslyn, NY Living Room

This sports-oriented family room was designed with the "men" in mind. The odd-shaped, asymmetrical windows were a challenge both functionally and aesthetically. The custom-made wall unit houses their sons' trophies, a large screen TV and sports memorabilia serves as wall art.

The rest of the house was created to remind them of their many trips to Europe, especially Italy and France.. The master bath features a steam shower, Jacuzzi tub and is tiled floor to ceiling with Honey Onyx.

Kitchen was pushed out 10 feet and completely reconfigured to create an octagonal breakfast room with sweeping water views. Sitting at the table makes you feel as though you are dining on the water.

This couple spent a great deal of time in Tuscany, and wanted to bring those warm colors and prints into their master bedroom suite.

This sophisticated baby's room, done in yellow, black and pink, will take this baby well into her teens without outgrowing the design.

England meets NYC

This NYC condo had breathtaking views of the East River and 59th Street Bridge, but lacked style and character. The client wanted a warm, cozy, English-style retreat.

Wide plank hickory floors accented with walnut borders were added throughout, as were crown, base and casing moldings with bulls eyes and plinth blocks to give it some bones and layers.

The kitchen was replaced with mahogany-stained walnut cabinets, green marble counter tops, a tumbled marble and glass tile backsplash, and stainless appliances.

 The furniture was mostly mahogany, Georgian style with an oriental rug and a custom-made tapestry which is reflected in the bedroom mirror. Custom bedding and window treatments throughout. Alabaster light fixtures with antique bronze finishes completed the look.

A beautiful, fully custom master bathroom tiled in different formats of Honey Onyx featuring a jetted bath, steam shower,  Louis XIV-style oval mirrors and custom cabinetry.

The living room was given un unexpected twist by upholstering the Louis XVI chairs in green leather.

Lynbrook Total Remodel

This 1923 colonial was neglected for decades. Everything was original  and its small, boxed=off rooms made it feel very small and claustrophobic. It was completely gutted and a second bathroom was added to  the main floor. Several load-bearing walls were removed to give the new owners (a young professional couple) the open floor plan that suits their lifestyle. The house received a gourmet kitchen with an island, new bathrooms, new hardwood floors, central AC, new windows, siding, insulation, electric and  plumbing.

Long Island LR Art Backdrop

This outdated, all-white space needed an update with an array of neutral colors and textures to serve as a backdrop for the clients' art collection. We added crown, base and casing moldings to give the room "bones", covered the walls in beige silk and updated the furniture to combine antique, modern and transitional elements, many of which were custom-made. Clients' Louis XV chair was refinished in black lacquer with gilt highlights and a modern, cut velvet plaid fabric. Stark wool and linen carpet.
