This outdated, all-white space needed an update with an array of neutral colors and textures to serve as a backdrop for the clients' art collection. We added crown, base and casing moldings to give the room "bones", covered the walls in beige silk and updated the furniture to combine antique, modern and transitional elements, many of which were custom-made. Clients' Louis XV chair was refinished in black lacquer with gilt highlights and a modern, cut velvet plaid fabric. Stark wool and linen carpet.
